Suffer or Run, Mark 8: 31-38

Wow! We have had a great week of working and laughing at the UMCOR Depot in Louisiana.  It does the heart good to serve those you will never see.  Those who suffer hard times somewhere around the world.  I would guess that most of those folks never realized that suffering at the hands of a natural disaster or getting caught in a tribal war would be their lot in life. Would anyone choose such a life?  Only if it involved helping people they loved and were loved by.  Consider this, Jesus willingly suffered for sinners for whom He loved.  Not friends and family only, mind you, sinners like you and me.  I hope to see you Sunday!
