Sermon: Fueling Fire, Acts 2:1-125/31/2009 A little girl commented to her mother after church, “Mommy, if Jesus is bigger than us and He lives in us, wouldn’t He shine through? Alright! That is good stuff. It is said and believed that in pre-historic days a person would be assigned the duty in some villages of keeping the fire. It was their job to see that wood be kept close and coals be stoked regularly. As you know coals kept together keep their fire, take a coal away from others and it will quickly grow cold. We dear friends are called to be flame keepers. We become the source of life for others because be carry within us the flames of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Luke told the disciples to wait until they received the gift of the Holy Spirit. The fire of Holy Spirit within us. I hope to see you this Pentecost Sunday and Jesus shines brightly.
