Vantage Point, Luke 15: 1-10

8/9/2009

I am looking forward to Aug 23rd as we reach out to our community.  We are continuing a series called THE OFFICE, Everyday living, everlasting impact

Last week I preached a message on the subject of self reflection in light of eternity.  This week I am preaching on seeing your world from the vantage point of eternity.  Alan Hirsch recently did a study on snacks and personality, what he found was that you cheese curls enthusiasts have the same personality.  You enjoy the same stuff across the board apparently.  When the crowds gathered around Jesus they craved something, but what?  A desire to have an inner hunger filled.  Miracles of multiplying bread and healed bodies aren’t enduring, but faith in Jesus as Savior is eternally satisfying.  Your friends at work share a common hunger, it is more than their present crisis; it is a need for a relationship with Jesus.  See them this way and you’re likely to point them in directions that matter forever.  Pray for and bring a friend on August 23rd to our open house, it could make a difference forever.  See you Sunday.
