Sanctity of Human Life; 2 Timothy 3: 1-41/31/2010 When studying Genesis we notice careful attention given to humanity as unique and bearing the image of God. We are made wonderfully and our life course should take us to the heart of God through Christ. The Scripture says we can never look into the face of another person and not see worth. Oh, we know this about ourselves when we weep seeing the victims of hurricanes, earthquakes, senseless killing and other tragedy. It's for this same reason that unborn children have our attention as debate rocks on concerning the morality of legalized abortion. I can think of no greater shame on a society than not efforting to protect the innocent and our recklessness concerning sacred life is a slippery slope. Generally, the Church Universal speaks with one voice about this in hopes that the culture will repent. Meanwhile, we must love and live being redemptive by helping "expecting" girls make life decisions when possible. And certainly we should not be involved in any crazy acts that themselves dehumanize people or end life. These are my thoughts today. See you Sunday.
