The Extraordinary Rescue; Revelation 1: 4-7

1/24/2010

In February 2007 New York Giants running back, Tiki Barber, did a report for MSNBC about unclaimed cash. He said that some states have billion’s, yes, billion’s of unclaimed cash. Old pay checks, unclaimed tax returns, and such just sit in State coffers awaiting their owners. It is crazy to think that we might have cash held up in some unclaimed account down at the bottom of the State house. It is plain sad that a King’s robe is available to us in Christ Jesus and yet it remains unclaimed by those who wish to live in their sin. I speak not of money, but of peace with God. I don’t know if it is a sense of unworthiness, or they just like saying “no” to the greatest news ever given to human kind, but many live in a state of separation from the One who can wash them and make them Children of God. Jesus loves you and wants you to come home. He has laid his own righteousness in your account. I hope to see you Sunday.
