Sermon: His Pain, Our Gain, Acts 8: 30-40

3/7/2010

As we reflect on the cross and the passion of Jesus during lent we encounter a opportunity in what Dr. David Seamands once called “The Exchanged Life.” It is the greatest news ever heralded that our sins are paid in full. However, it is a possibility that must be realized through faith in Jesus. Yes, I can exchange my guilt for His peace, my shame for His garment of glory, my sin for His righteousness; but it involves my heart, my will, my all...saving faith. I once was having trouble getting some books I needed for school and a simple phone conversation with an important friend changed my day. My reputation became tied up in his and results came quickly. The exchanged life is His best life for us. His worst day made our best day possible. Glory to God in the Highest! Worthy is the Lamb to receive glory and honor. Seek saving faith in Christ. Barry
