Extravagant Love; John 12: 1-8

I have always been intrigued by the episode in Jesus life that we consider this week. A woman comes and anoints Jesus’ with expensive oils, perfume if you will. It is an extraordinary gesture of love. It is in fact, a reckless; don’t count the cost expression of love. Did you know that you can Google “expensive perfume” and you find that Clive Christian No. 1 perfume is one of the worlds most expensive over the counter perfumes available starting at just under $2,000.00 USD for a 1 oz. bottle? Wow! Now imagine offering a whole bottle to the Savior as an expression of gratitude and loyalty because He has given you life. How much do we appreciate our Savior? Such is the subject we will discuss on Sunday. I hope to see you at Church.
