The Privilege of Generational Support 2/22/2009 The Privilege of Generational Support , 1 Kings 6: 11-13
480 years after the children of Israel were delivered from Egypt, after generations of wandering and warring, the time came to build the temple of God. It was God’s time. It was the right time. Solomon pointed this fact out to his father’s loyal friend Hiram, king of Tyre. It is not always easy to understand the times and seasons, but we pray and ask the Lord for His guiding hand. It is our joy this week to act in faith in response to our campaign to take the next steps in ministry and in building a permanent home for the Master’s Way Church. It is our best gauge of where we are and where we are going. Please pray with your family and join us Sunday as we commit ourselves to a ministry and project that is bigger than any one person and may impact generations to follow. You will have a chance to come forward with your family to make a faith commitment during a season of prayer at the end of the service. We will also journey up to the property to place the stepping stones at the vespers area. Please bring your dirt cloppers and maybe some gloves.
